ServicesSuper-Midsize Jet Charter
Super-Midsize Jet Charter in Shelbyville
A super-midsize jet gives you a cabin you can stand up in, bags you can reach in flight and the range to reach either coast nonstop. We price your trip point to point, in one all-inclusive quote, so you can plan the budget well before departure day.

Who a Super-Midsize Jet Is Built For
These jets sit a step above midsize and a step below heavy. Common models are the Challenger 300 and 350, the Citation Longitude, the Gulfstream G280 and the Praetor 600. Expect 8 to 10 seats, roughly six feet of headroom, a level cabin floor, a full galley and a private lavatory.
Range is the main reason people choose this class. Flying west from Indiana against winter headwinds, a midsize jet might have to stop for fuel short of the West Coast. A super-midsize can usually go the whole way, cutting an hour or more of ground time and making a long day of travel much easier.
For a small group or a flight under three hours, light jet charter or midsize jet charter could be the better match. We will say so plainly when you call.
What Comes With the Charter
- One all-inclusive quote
- Flight time, fuel, crew, landing and FBO fees and federal excise tax are in the number we give you. No hidden costs show up after you land.
- Point to point pricing
- You pay for the legs you fly. You never pay round trip pricing on a one-way trip.
- Two pilots and a cabin attendant on request
- Super-midsize jets fly with two pilots. On longer flights we can add a cabin attendant, and the quote shows that line clearly.
- Walk-in baggage
- Most models have a baggage area you can reach during the flight. Golf bags, skis and a week of luggage for eight people fit without a fight.
- WiFi equipped aircraft
- We can match you with an aircraft that has WiFi so the flight works as office time.
- Pets allowed
- Your dog can fly in the cabin with you. Tell us about pets when you call so we pick an operator and aircraft that fit.
Signs a Super-Midsize Jet Is the Right Fit
The flight runs over four hours
Trips to the West Coast, Mexico or the Caribbean are where the extra range and the taller cabin start to pay off.
You have seven to nine people
A midsize cabin gets tight with that many. A super-midsize keeps everyone in a real seat with room to move.
You want to skip the fuel stop
A stop adds time, fees and a chance for weather delays. Nonstop is simpler.
The bags are big
Sports gear, sample cases or a family of six heading out for two weeks need space a smaller jet does not have.
You need to work or sleep on board
A flat floor, quieter cabin and seats that recline flat on many models make a long flight usable.

On demand when plans change

What Moves the Price
The biggest driver is hours in the air. After that it comes down to which aircraft is free, where it sits and how long you stay. Every one of these is spelled out in your quote.
- Flight time and model
- A Longitude and a Challenger 350 have different hourly costs. Longer flights cost more, but nonstop often beats paying for a fuel stop.
- Where the aircraft is based
- An aircraft close to your departure costs less to bring in. With point to point pricing you are not paying for an empty return.
- Overnights and wait time
- If the crew waits for you for a few days, crew lodging and daily fees go into the quote.
- Dates and lead time
- Holiday weeks and big event weekends fill up. Booking early gets you more aircraft to choose from and a better number.
- Extras you ask for
- Catering, a cabin attendant and special ground transport are added line by line, so you can keep or cut them.
Super-Midsize Charter Questions
Something not covered here? (317) 620-3508
Can a super-midsize jet fly from Indiana to California nonstop?
Yes, in most cases. These jets usually have the range to reach the West Coast without a fuel stop, even with a full cabin. Strong winter headwinds and very heavy loads can change that, and we check it before we quote.
How many people and bags fit?
Most seat 8 to 10 passengers. Baggage space is generous, and much of it is reachable in flight. Give us a bag count when you call so we can match the right model.
Is it worth the step up from a midsize jet?
For trips over about four hours, or groups of seven or more, it often is. For shorter hops a midsize jet is usually the better value. We will quote both if you are on the fence.
Do I need to sign up for anything?
No. There are no long term commitments and nothing to join. You call, get a quote and book the trip you want.
How far ahead should I book?
Two to three weeks gives you the best choice of aircraft. Holiday and big event dates are worth booking earlier. Shorter notice is still possible, and we will tell you honestly what is open.
